NewLeaf Recovery Services is a locally-owned substance use recovery clinic Coming Soon in Lansing, Michigan. We will provide compassionate, confidential care for people with substance use disorder — built on the belief that every person deserves dignity, respect, and the opportunity for a fresh start.
Our clinic is located at 400 S. Walnut Street, Lansing, MI 48933, just blocks from the CATA Transportation Center with easy access by bus from surrounding communities including Haslett, Okemos, Holt, East Lansing, DeWitt, Grand Ledge, Charlotte, and St. Johns.

Suboxone (buprenorphine) is a once-daily prescription medication that helps reduce cravings and withdrawal symptoms. Unlike methadone, Suboxone patients transition to less frequent appointments when clinically appropriate — no daily clinic visits required.
We accept Medicaid and self-pay. Additional insurance plans are being added through credentialing. NewLeaf is designed as a Medicaid-focused clinic, with Medicaid enrollment already approved.

Tamesha Porter-Grljusic, Founder & CEO. A Michigan healthcare entrepreneur with years of experience serving individuals and families throughout the Lansing area. Through her work in healthcare and community-based services, she has seen firsthand the impact substance use disorder can have on individuals and families. She founded NewLeaf Recovery Services with a mission to provide compassionate, confidential, and accessible treatment for those seeking recovery from opioid addiction — built on the belief that every person deserves dignity, respect, and the opportunity for a fresh start.


Tamesha also operates established residential care businesses serving more than 100 homes across the Lansing area. NewLeaf Recovery Services is a new, separate brand dedicated to substance use recovery care.

Tamesha Porter-Grljusic is a Michigan healthcare entrepreneur and founder of multiple healthcare organizations serving the Greater Lansing community. Through both her professional experience and personal life, she has witnessed the impact substance use disorder can have on individuals, families, and entire communities. Those experiences strengthened her commitment to creating a recovery program built on dignity, compassion, and hope. She founded NewLeaf Recovery Services to provide accessible, evidence-based treatment and help people reclaim their lives.

After years of building healthcare organizations across Mid-Michigan and witnessing firsthand the impact addiction has on individuals and families, Tamesha Porter-Grljusic founded NewLeaf Recovery Services to create a place where recovery begins with dignity, compassion, and hope.

Patient Rights & Confidentiality

Every patient receives a written statement of their rights and responsibilities at admission. Staff explain how to ask questions, file complaints, and request copies of available policies (R 325.1331).
If you have a concern, you may file a complaint with NewLeaf directly or with Michigan LARA/BHDDA. Complaint investigations begin within 72 hours and are completed within 15 days when possible (R 325.1333).
NewLeaf maintains a current referral list for MAT, social/educational/recreational services, job placement, financial counseling, legal assistance, and nutrition services. This list is reviewed at each admission and treatment planning session (R 325.1331; R 325.1359).

At NewLeaf Recovery Services, patient confidentiality and privacy are paramount. All patient and administrative records are confidential, secured from unauthorized access, and available only to authorized staff for care or to Michigan LARA during surveys. Disclosures require legal permission, rule requirement, or written patient release (R 325.1369; R 325.1371).
