Available Counselor & Peer Recovery Positions
NewLeaf Recovery Services is preparing to hire for multiple roles as we approach our opening. While specific job postings will be announced closer to our launch date, we're actively building our talent pipeline for the following positions:

Substance Use Counselor (CADC or LMSW Preferred)
Our counselors will provide individual and group therapy, develop treatment plans, and support clients through their recovery journey. Ideal candidates hold current Michigan certification (CADC) or licensure (LMSW) and have experience in outpatient addiction treatment.

Peer Recovery Specialist
Peer specialists bring lived experience and specialized training to support clients in recovery. This role involves mentoring, advocacy, and helping individuals navigate community resources. Michigan certification as a Certified Peer Specialist is required.

Medical Provider (Physician or NP with Addiction Medicine Focus)
Our medical team will oversee Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT) protocols, including Suboxone (buprenorphine) prescribing. Candidates should have experience in addiction medicine and a commitment to patient-centered care.

Front Office & Administrative Support
Administrative staff ensure smooth clinic operations, manage scheduling, handle insurance verification, and create a welcoming environment for clients and families.

Licensed Clinical Oversight
All treatment protocols are developed under the guidance of Michigan-licensed clinicians with specialization in addiction medicine and behavioral health.

Medication-Assisted Treatment (MAT)
Our MAT program uses Suboxone (buprenorphine), an FDA-approved medication that reduces cravings and withdrawal symptoms. We do not use methadone in our treatment protocols.

Trauma-Informed Care
Our staff is trained to recognize and respond to the impact of trauma, creating a safe and supportive environment for all clients.

Confidentiality Protections
We adhere to 42 CFR Part 2 regulations, which provide enhanced privacy protections for individuals seeking substance use treatment.

Cultural Competency
Our team is committed to providing care that respects diverse backgrounds, identities, and experiences.
Regulatory Compliance
We accept Medicaid and self-pay. Additional insurance plans are being added through credentialing. While we cannot guarantee acceptance of any specific plan until credentialing is complete, our commitment is to make treatment as accessible as possible. Self-pay options will be available when we open.

We are building a founding team across multiple role types: providers (MD/DO/NP/PA), licensed counselors and social workers, case managers, peer recovery coaches, and front-desk/administrative staff. Clinical roles require Michigan licensure or certification. We are not posting rigid deadlines — we are building relationships with potential team members over time as we approach our August 2026 opening.
Providers must hold active Michigan licenses (MD/DO/NP/PA) with experience in addiction medicine or primary care. Counselors and social workers require LPC, LMSW, or LLMSW licensure. Peer recovery coaches need certification or lived experience. Case managers benefit from backgrounds in social services or healthcare. All credential details are verified during the hiring process.
